Terra Nomadic Travels is the controller of personal data collected through this website (terranomadictravels.com), by email, WhatsApp, and phone communications.

2. Legal Basis and Applicable Law

We process personal data in accordance with:

• Moroccan Law 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, enforced by the CNDP (National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection).
• The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — applicable when we process the personal data of individuals located in the European Economic Area. As a Moroccan tour operator serving European travelers, we apply GDPR-aligned standards to all personal data we handle.

Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (booking a tour), legitimate interest (responding to inquiries, improving our services), and consent (newsletters, advertising).

We only collect the personal data required to fulfill your booking (including first and last name, email, phone number, and address, which we use for logistics and billing purposes), respond to your inquiry, or improve our website. We also use your email and, where you have opted in, your phone number for advertising and marketing communications, as described in Section 6. We do not collect sensitive personal data (health, religion, biometrics) unless you voluntarily provide it as part of a special request (e.g. dietary needs).

• Processing bookings: confirming your tour, arranging transport, accommodation and activities, and communicating logistical details — this is where your name, address, and phone number are used.
• Billing: issuing invoices/receipts and processing deposits and balances.
• Responding to inquiries: answering questions received via email, WhatsApp, or website contact forms.
• Payment processing: processing deposits and balances via PayPal and our card payment gateway. We never see or store your full card number.
• Advertising and marketing: with your consent, sending you offers, newsletters, and promotions by email or showing you relevant ads (see Section 6).
• Improving our services: analyzing website usage trends, in anonymized form, to improve content and user experience.
• Legal obligations: complying with Moroccan tax and business reporting requirements.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any data broker or third party. We only share the data described above, and only to the extent necessary to run your tour, bill you correctly, operate our advertising with your consent, and maintain this website.

Where you have given consent (for example, by opting in to marketing communications or accepting advertising cookies), we may use your email address and on-site activity to:

• send you newsletters, special offers, and tour recommendations by email;
• show you relevant ads on platforms such as Google and Meta (Facebook/Instagram), including via “custom audience” style tools where your email is shared with the platform in hashed (non-readable) form;
• measure the performance of our advertising campaigns.

You can withdraw your consent to advertising at any time by unsubscribing from emails, contacting us at contact@terranomadictravels.com, or adjusting your cookie preferences. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, and does not affect your ability to book or receive tour-related communications.
